One of the key additions is “Notes Prompts,” which allows users to kickstart conversations using pre-set prompts and questions, making it easier to engage with others in the app.
Instagram’s new Notes Prompts feature allows users to spark conversations with friends and mutual friends, encouraging more engagement within the app. By providing simple, interactive queries, users can easily connect and invite responses. Additionally, Instagram now supports the use of @ mentions in Notes, making it easier to directly involve specific people in your prompts, further enhancing interaction.
Instagram is also introducing Notes Likes, allowing you to react to Notes with a simple like, without needing to share your own thoughts. To like a Note, simply double-tap it or click the heart icon in the reply sheet.
These updates are designed to boost engagement with Notes, which has quickly become a popular feature on Instagram. In fact, Instagram shared in June that teen users are 10 times more likely to create a Note, making it clear why the platform is investing in expanding and refining the feature to keep younger audiences engaged.
Instagram has already introduced features like music in Notes, looping videos, and the ability to post Notes on profiles. It’s also testing Notes integration with Reels and feed posts.
